Kotiro Toa!
You really don't wanna mess with our girls in Room 19 or they will kick your butt!! On Friday they learnt new self defence skills to protect themselves in times of trouble. They are confident and know what to say and do. AWESSSSSSOME!
Buddy Class Fruit Salad Mix!
On Friday our students joined with Room 17 and talked about healthy eating and how to make an easy fruit salad. We put the mats outside and played funky music in the background. Our whaea prepared the ingredients with all students helping to make a funky fruit salad. Matua Tuiono talked about why fruit is healthy for our bodies. We later played games and then had a good healthy feed. Mean Maori Healthy Mean!
Roscommon Athletics & Kapahaka Day 2011
Room 19 had a fantastic time mixing and mingling with other students from Roscommon and Wiri School Maori Bilingual units. It was a get together for sport and kapahaka. We did shot put, discus, sprints in the Athletics and then performed Poi, Waiata a ringa, and Haka for Kapahaka.
